UX Designer

Overview

Glance is hiring a UX Designer to own end-to-end user experiences for AI-powered commerce, from problem understanding through designs engineering can build.

What you'll do

• Understand the feature goal and the user need behind it before designing.
• Explore multiple directions and share alternatives considered with the chosen approach.
• Design complete flows rather than individual screens.
• Account for states including loading, empty, error, first-run, and offline.
• Ship polished UI within the design system, extending it when needed.
• Prototype to decide interaction behavior, including motion and focus for TV.
• Collaborate with PM and engineering to maintain quality through build and launch.

What you'll need

• 2 to 4 years designing consumer products with shipped work you can walk through.
• A portfolio showing decisions, tried work, dropped options, and what you would change.
• High craft standards and restraint to know when something is done.
• Comfort with ambiguity and asking questions when requirements are unclear.
• Curiosity about AI as a design material rather than a bolt-on feature.
• Comfort working on surfaces with no established playbook.

Nice to have

• TV experience is a bonus (not required).
