About this course
TCS NQT Reasoning Prep gets you ready for the reasoning ability section of the TCS National Qualifier Test, the online test TCS uses to hire freshers. Every lesson is built around a question type that candidates report seeing in that section: syllogisms, number and letter series, seating arrangements, blood relations, direction sense, coding-decoding, puzzles, statement and conclusion, data sufficiency, and visual reasoning. The course has 80 lessons and about 533 minutes of content. Each lesson is a short reading card with narration and diagrams, followed by MCQ practice with an explanation for every answer.
The reasoning section is short and timed, so most candidates lose marks to slow setups rather than to questions they cannot solve. Lessons therefore teach one quick method per question type: a Venn sketch for syllogisms, a difference row for series, a seat chart for arrangements and a small family tree for blood relations. Questions stay at the easy to medium level the section usually sets, with a separate topic for the harder Advanced questions.
Who this TCS NQT reasoning course is for
Final-year students and recent graduates who have registered for TCS NQT, or plan to, will get the most from it. It suits candidates aiming at Ninja roles as well as those aiming at Digital and Prime, since the last topic covers the harder reasoning set in the Advanced section. No prior reasoning practice is needed: the course starts with syllogisms, which most candidates find quickest to learn, and builds towards multi-clue seating and puzzle sets. The test also has a numerical section, which you can practise with Quantitative Aptitude. Abekus is not affiliated with TCS, and the questions are original practice questions written in the style of the test, not past papers.
MCQ practice vs video courses for TCS NQT reasoning
Video courses and YouTube playlists walk through solved examples, which helps you see a method once. The reasoning section is timed, though, and what decides your score is how quickly you can set up a seating arrangement or test a syllogism conclusion on your own. This course makes you do that work in every lesson: you read a short card, try the question yourself, and see an explanation straight after. Each question uses the test's format, with four options, plain Indian names and everyday settings, so the real section feels familiar on the day.
Best way to prepare for TCS NQT reasoning
Follow the lessons in order for the first pass, since the early topics teach the diagrams and tables that later puzzles depend on. Answer each MCQ before reading its explanation, and keep rough paper beside you, as you will have in the test. There is no negative marking in the section, so practise answering every question, and use the Solving TCS NQT Reasoning topic to learn when to move on. Return to seating arrangements and data sufficiency a few days later, because both are easy to get wrong under time pressure.
