2026-D-0056 Test Engineer Intern

Overview

Test Engineer Intern role on a scrum team at INVIDI's Chennai, India office, covering design, development, integration and testing of video ad technology software.

What you'll do

• Design, execute, and document manual and automated test cases, scenarios, and test results for software features
• Identify, log, and diagnose the root cause of software defects and work with developers to verify fixes
• Write unit tests and maintain automated test scripts to ensure software reliability
• Help investigate testing environment issues and support quality assurance for production releases
• Collaborate effectively within a high-performing, mature Agile Scrum team as a resourceful team player

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing or completed a B. Tech/B. E. degree in Computer Science or an equivalent STEM field
• Strong foundational programming skills in Java or Python, with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles essential for building and scaling test automation frameworks
• Basic familiarity with web technologies and front-end frameworks like JavaScript or React for UI testing
• Working knowledge of SQL for database querying and back-end data verification
• Interest in software quality assurance, testing methodologies, and modern tech environments

Nice to have

• Basic exposure to or interest in cloud computing environments like AWS or GCP for executing automated test suites in distributed environments

Details

• Based in the Chennai, India office; reports directly to the Technical Manager of Software Development
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are normal
• Final candidates must successfully pass background screening and must be legally authorized to work in India
