Accounting Analyst

Overview

Accounting Analyst supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and compliance with US GAAP or IFRS.

What you'll do

• Be involved in day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Be involved in General Accounting, including reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate all accounting activities associated with the General Ledger, particularly journal entries, prepaid, fixed assets, inter-company, cash and bank.
• Manage Accounts Payable invoicing and employee claims.
• Help with the timely and accurate execution of monthly and quarterly accounting close.
• Support posting entries in NetSuite.
• Develop, maintain, and ensure complete accounting records for all transactions with adequate support, in auditable form, and in accordance with US GAAP.
• Assist in preparing audit PBCs in a timely manner.
• Support collating data for local VAT and tax filings for the International Subsidiaries.
• Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and suggest process improvements.
• Follow corporate policies and procedures.
• Support the Senior Accounting Manager on projects and ad hoc tasks.
• Coordinate with US Finance teams and other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• 4+ years in an accounting role.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and independent with a strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to prioritize and function with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Chartered Accountant.

Details

• Based in Bangalore, India.
• Expected to work from the office three days a week.
