Actuarial Specialist

Overview

Lead complex pricing, modeling, and regulatory initiatives for homeowners insurance products, using actuarial analytics and machine learning to support pricing strategy and risk management.

What you'll do

• Lead rating plan and indication framework development and maintenance.
• Design advanced pricing models and segmentation strategies.
• Direct countrywide rating algorithm initiatives.
• Establish pricing model documentation and governance standards.
• Mentor actuarial analysts and review their work.
• Investigate segmentation enhancements and advise senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Product, Reserving, Data Science, Underwriting, Sales, and Claims teams.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of general insurance actuarial or pricing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience leading complex projects.
• Expert Excel skills.
• Advanced SQL and Python or R skills.
• Experience working with US-based business teams.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Associate or near-associate designation from CAS, IFOA, or IAI.

Details

• Remote role based in India.
• Working hours include four core US hours from 7:30pm to 11:30pm IST.
• Pay range is INR 712,500–997,500 annually.
