Agentic AI Engineer - Assistant Manager

Overview

Agentic AI Engineer to join State Street’s GenAI Center of Excellence, working on agentic AI systems and workflows.

What you'll do

• Design and build agent workflows and platform components with senior engineers.
• Develop basic agent workflows using an agent framework such as LangChain, LangGraph, or Google ADK.
• Build event-driven processes for scalable agentic AI systems.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of agentic services across cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and/or on-prem.
• Participate in code reviews and sprint planning and contribute to technical documentation.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–7 years overall software engineering experience.
• 2+ years exposure to developing AI/ML, distributed systems, or agent-based architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with at least one other modern language (Java, Go, or C++).
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, REST/gRPC APIs, and microservices.
• Experience developing, testing, and troubleshooting applications in cloud (AWS/Google Cloud/Azure).
• Understanding of basic DevOps practices, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
