Overview

AI Engineer to build systems powering autonomous voice agents for live financial conversations on the proAgent team.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain components of the agentic runtime for multi-turn financial conversations.
• Implement context management logic tracking consumer state, conversation history, and business rules.
• Write and iterate conversational primitives balancing human-like flow with verifiable decisions.
• Work on a real-time voice pipeline targeting sub-1s latency across transcription, reasoning, and synthesis.
• Contribute to VAD tuning and turn-taking logic for natural conversations.
• Write and refine prompts, orchestration flows, and model routing logic.
• Debug streaming audio and WebRTC issues in production.

What you'll need

• 2–5 years of hands-on engineering experience with exposure to ML/AI systems in production.
• Solid Python fundamentals for clean, maintainable code and debugging production issues.
• Some experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, API integrations, or building simple pipelines/agents.
• TypeScript familiarity is a plus.
• Bias for action with an ability to ship and take feedback well.
• Eagerness to learn in a fast-moving environment and take ownership of work.
• Optional signals include experience with voice AI, fintech background, Twilio/LiveKit/ElevenLabs, streaming/WebRTC, and small agentic systems.
