Conversation AI Engineer

Overview

Build agentic, process-aligned conversational AI systems for advisor-assist experiences across chat, phone, and ecommerce. Own the conversation stack from utterance understanding through action.

What you'll do

• Build intent detection, dialogue orchestration, and multi-step reasoning flows.
• Design prompt architectures with context injection, tool calling, guardrails, and output validation.
• Develop real-time AI tools that surface knowledge, suggest responses, and guide advisors.
• Translate advisor business processes into conversation system designs.
• Define quality metrics and evaluation datasets from real interaction logs.
• Design fallback handling for low-confidence, ambiguous, and out-of-scope inputs.
• Integrate conversational AI across chat, phone, and ecommerce surfaces.

What you'll need

• 3–5 years of experience in conversational AI, NLP engineering, or LLM-based product development.
• Experience building dialogue systems aligned with real business processes.
• Proficiency in Python and NLP tooling.
• Strong understanding of intent classification, entity extraction, and stateful context management.
• Experience deploying conversational AI to production with real user traffic.
• Ability to implement confidence scoring, fallback handling, and human-in-the-loop controls.

Nice to have

• Experience building agentic systems with tool use, function calling, or multi-step LLM orchestration.
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation for knowledge-grounded responses.
