AI Led Data Engineer(AWS+Textract+Comprehend+Pyspark) - Associate 2

Overview

Associate-level AI Led Data Engineer role within PwC's Data and Analytics Engineering practice, building data pipelines, integration and transformation solutions for client work at PwC Acceleration Center Bangalore.

What you'll do

• Design and build data pipelines and integration workflows across cloud-based platforms
• Develop data transformation logic using PySpark to process structured and unstructured information
• Implement AWS services, including Textract and Comprehend, to extract and classify content from source documents
• Create data validation checks and quality controls to support accurate downstream reporting and analytics
• Support data lake and data warehouse structures that improve accessibility, consistency, and performance
• Collaborate on data modeling, schema design, and pipeline troubleshooting to address implementation issues
• Apply automation and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow to schedule and monitor recurring data jobs
• Work across client engagements to gather requirements, document technical details, and support delivery of data engineering tasks

What you'll need

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 3+ years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics
• Practicing AWS data engineering using Textract and Comprehend
• Applying PySpark for data transformation and pipeline development
• Demonstrating familiarity with data modernization and cloud platforms
• Supporting data integration, quality, and validation activities
• Adapting quickly across client needs and team priorities
