AI/ML Engineering Manager

Overview

AI/ML Engineering Manager to take technical ownership of a production media-screening platform, from classical ML to LLM and generative-AI pipelines on AWS.

What you'll do

• Build and own the media-screening platform’s ML models and services running in production on AWS.
• Design, build, evaluate, and ship models and the related services.
• Drive migration from classical ML to LLM and generative-AI approaches.
• Own reliability, cost, quality, and MLOps discipline for the production system.
• Set technical direction, standards, and roadmap, including architecture and approach calls.
• Be accountable for delivery, including planning, prioritisation, and keeping the daily-production system healthy.
• Serve as technical point of contact for stakeholders, including a US-based partner business.

What you'll need

• Over 5+ years of experience building and shipping ML/AI systems in production.
• Recent hands-on AWS experience (e.g., SageMaker, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS) and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong Python experience.
• Grounding in classical ML and modern LLM/GenAI techniques (fine-tuning, prompting, evaluation, retrieval).
• MLOps experience spanning reproducible training, deployment, monitoring, and cost/quality management.
• Terraform and AWS CDK familiarity.

• Hybrid work model: 2–3 days per week in the office depending on the role.
