AI Security Engineer

Overview

Interra Health is hiring an AI Security Engineer to secure AI/ML models, data pipelines, and AI-enabled applications. The role focuses on hands-on vulnerability assessment, guardrails, and incident response for AI security risks.

What you'll do

• Lead security assessments of AI/ML models, data pipelines, and AI-enabled applications.
• Embed security requirements and threat modeling into the AI development lifecycle with Data & Analytics and Engineering.
• Build and maintain production guardrails with monitoring and detection for AI systems.
• Conduct security reviews of third-party AI tools, APIs, and vendors before integration.
• Lead incident response for AI-related security events, including suspicious outputs or data exposure.
• Test and validate access controls, encryption, and data segmentation for AI systems.
• Document risk assessments and remediation plans for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of security engineering or application security experience with hands-on AI/ML or LLM app security.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML security risks, including OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, adversarial ML, and data poisoning.
• Hands-on security tooling experience including SAST/DAST and vulnerability scanning.
• Comfort scripting in Python or a similar language.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying and securing AI/ML workloads.
• Clear communication of technical risk to non-security stakeholders.
