AJO Engineer

Overview

Experienced AJO consultant to independently lead enterprise AJO/AEP implementation engagements end to end.

What you'll do

• Run customer discovery workshops to define goals, requirements, and success criteria.
• Design AJO/AEP solution architecture, data models, and segmentation/personalization logic.
• Implement and configure Adobe Journey Optimizer journeys, decisioning, and channel experiences.
• Build and optimize data ingestion flows into AEP and implement identity mappings and XDM schemas.
• Integrate with AEP/AJO REST APIs, configure authentication, and validate payloads.
• Troubleshoot and optimize implementations for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Provide QA validation, go-live readiness support, and post-launch production support.

What you'll need

• Hands-on Adobe Journey Optimizer delivery experience (journey orchestration, triggers, conditions, wait logic, automations, custom actions, messages, offer decisioning, channel configurations).
• Deep Adobe Experience Platform expertise (Real-Time Customer Profile, Identity Service, XDM schema design, connectors, datasets, segmentation, destination configuration).
• Ability to design XDM schemas and map source fields, including identity namespaces and profile/experience event modeling.
• Strong SQL proficiency for querying datasets and building joins, aggregates, filters, and transformations.
• Hands-on REST API integration experience with AEP and AJO, including OAuth/IMS authentication and Postman-based validation.
• JavaScript proficiency for personalization logic and custom scripting, plus comfort with HTML/CSS for rendering.
• Enterprise-ready advisory skills to lead discovery and present technical designs to stakeholders.
