Overview
Analyst Technical Operations supports production trading systems by monitoring services, troubleshooting issues, managing incidents, and validating releases and data accuracy.
What you'll do
- Monitor business-critical trading applications to identify service disruptions and assess impact.
- Coordinate incident response and support restoration of services within service-level objectives.
- Investigate application, integration, data, infrastructure, and batch-processing issues using logs and diagnostics.
- Use SQL to validate trades, reconcile data, investigate exceptions, and support root-cause analysis.
- Support trading platforms, order management, portfolio systems, market-data feeds, file transfers, APIs, messaging, and integrations.
- Analyze trade breaks, exceptions, and failed or missing transactions and coordinate timely resolution.
- Provide incident updates to traders and other stakeholders.
What you'll need
- Experience with monitoring business-critical trading applications.
- Ability to investigate issues across applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, and batch processing.
- Experience using SQL queries for trade validation and data reconciliation.
- Experience supporting trading platforms, order/portfolio systems, market-data feeds, and integrations.
- Ability to analyze trade breaks, position discrepancies, pricing issues, and settlement exceptions.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, alerting, log analysis, and dashboards.
- Ability to create and maintain runbooks, procedures, and incident records.
