Application Engineer

Overview

Provide first-level application technical support to end clients and dealers in an assigned area, covering welding applications, demonstrations, training and system commissioning.

What you'll do

• Provide application technical advice.
• Install and update Fronius software.
• Organize and carry out welding demonstrations and training.
• Organize, carry out and document test welds.
• Provide services such as the commissioning of welding systems, expert training, and production start-up.
• Create application-specific welding parameters.
• Participate in trade fairs and provide support at national events.
• Pass on feedback from the market and customers.
• Assist with system configurations when preparing offers for complex systems.
• Assist with the storage of demonstration and rental equipment.

What you'll need

• Technical qualification in a metalworking field such as pipeline construction, steel engineering, machine construction, or shipbuilding.
• Sales/communication technology knowledge.
• Presentation skills.
• IT skills.
• Driving license.
• Customer-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to undertake further training.
• Team worker with willingness to impart knowledge to others.
• Willingness to travel.
• Flexibility in working hours and tasks arranged to suit customer requirements.
• Spoken and written English.
