Application Engineer - III (Java)

Overview

Application Engineer III responsible for advanced system analysis, design, development, and implementation of Java applications and databases. The role focuses on backend optimization, integrations, secure architecture, and production support.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and implement applications and databases.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Integrate data sources, APIs, third-party products, and services.
• Develop secure and resilient backend architectures and interfaces.
• Create and maintain backend documentation.
• Deploy code across development, test, and production environments.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and resolve elevated issues.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
• B.E./B.Tech in a relevant field or a master's degree/diploma in Computer Science.
• Expertise in server-side development, system integration, and API management.
• Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and API development.
• Experience with AWS ECS, Lambda, and IAM.
• Knowledge of Agile, Confluence, and JIRA.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of CSS.
• Experience with DB2 and API design.
