Application Engineer - Swing Shift

Overview

The Application Engineer supports implementation and maintenance of software applications to meet business needs, working with senior engineers, product managers, and QA to deliver reliable, well-tested solutions.

What you'll do

• Write, test, and maintain code for software applications under guidance.
• Develop and enhance front-end and/or back-end components.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality.
• Write basic unit and integration tests to support reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and support application issues.
• Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and established processes.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of IT experience building front-end and/or back-end systems.
• Basic experience of Java.
• Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, NodeJS, Spring).
• Basic understanding of version control (Git) and Agile development.
• Exposure to relational databases (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback.
• Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude.
