Application Support Engineer

Overview

Act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service that identifies and solves issues within multiple components of critical business systems.

What you'll do

• Perform independently and become a subject matter expert (SME).
• Actively participate in and contribute to team discussions.
• Contribute solutions to work-related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business applications.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
• Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on complex issues.
• Continuously monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance stability and efficiency.

What you'll need

• Must have: proficiency in IBM Db2.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IBM Db2.
• Strong understanding of database management and optimization techniques related to IBM Db2.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving issues within database environments to ensure high availability.
• Ability to analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify root causes of problems.
• Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes in database systems.
• Skilled in collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to implement effective solutions.
• 15 years full-time education is required.
