Application Support Engineer

Overview

Act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service that identifies and solves issues within multiple components of critical business systems.

What you'll do

• Act as an SME, collaborate with and manage the team to perform.
• Be responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of support activities with business objectives.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical and problem-solving skills.
• Continuously improve support processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• 15 years full time education.
• Hands-on experience in AWS and Python.
• Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and development strategies.
• Hands-on experience developing AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, EventBridge, S3, EC2, AWS API and Athena.
• Hands-on experience writing Lambda functions in Python.
• Experience with serverless computing and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS S3 (Simple Storage Service), AWS Glue and Lambda.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka flow configurations.
• Hands-on experience with Python and PySpark.

Nice to have

• Python (Programming Language).
