Application Support Engineer

Overview

Application Support Engineer role acting as software detectives to identify and solve issues within multiple components of critical business systems, with a focus on Java full stack development.

What you'll do

• Develop utilities and business logic in Core Java.
• Develop features using Spring Boot.
• Develop applications using event-based microservices.
• Design and create database tables.
• Build and deploy microservices into the cloud.
• Implement Hibernate for ORM.
• Work with API gateways.
• Write unit tests for RESTful services.
• Implement reusable components and services.
• Publish and subscribe services into API gateways.
• Create DDL/DML for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of experience is required.
• 15 years full time education.
• Strong technical lead experience.
• Very strong in Core Java.
• Very strong experience implementing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Very strong experience with microservices and event-based architecture.
• Strong experience with any of the relational databases.
• Strong experience with Kafka and MQ.
• Strong experience with cloud technology such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Preferably open-source databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
