Application Support Engineer

Overview

Application Support Engineer role for a US-based position with remote work. You’ll collaborate with engineers to maintain systems, troubleshoot issues, and document technical designs while following modern SDLC and automation practices.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, reliable software.
• Maintain an existing codebase and help develop new features as business needs change.
• Identify and implement new technologies and techniques to improve platform performance and customer experience.
• Troubleshoot and research common issues using existing procedures and adapting as needed.
• Author technical design documentation aligned with business and solution architecture requirements.
• Adhere to engineering best practices for modern SDLC with CI/CD, automation, auditability, and automated testing.

What you'll need

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Understanding of object-oriented principles in C#, C++, and Java.
• Knowledge of modern software development including version control, unit testing, and continuous integration.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex ideas and concise documentation.
• Web services standards knowledge including XML, XSD, SOAP, JSON, and REST.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Experience with relational or non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, HBase) and concepts like ACID and CAP theorem.
