Applied AI Engineer, Enterprise

Overview

Applied AI Engineer for Anthropic’s Enterprise team, advising German enterprise customers on how to deploy Claude and helping them reach a decision to build.

What you'll do

• Partner with Enterprise Account Executives and Applied AI Architects through first conversation to a decision to build on Claude.
• Own the technical side of opportunities, serving as the customer’s technical advisor during deployment.
• Set customers and systems integration partners up by agreeing target architecture and defining what “good looks like.”
• Advise customers and engineering teams on architecture, agent design, and evaluation for deploying Claude.
• Build and present enterprise business value cases with C-level and senior executives in German and English.
• Guide long multi-stakeholder procurement and adoption cycles, including security and architecture reviews.
• Run executive briefings, technical workshops, and enablement sessions for leadership and engineering teams.

What you'll need

• Native or fluent German for day-to-day work with German enterprise customers (written and spoken).
• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder.
• Experience in pre-sales or technical advisory selling into large enterprises, ideally in the German market.
• Value-based selling experience (building business cases and quantifying impact for senior decision makers).
• Production experience with LLM-powered applications, including prompting, context engineering, agent architectures, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
• Hands-on engineering background building and deploying production applications.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and architecture requirements.

Details

• Location: Munich, Germany.
• Work pattern: at least 25% time in one of the company offices per a hybrid policy.
• Travel: travel to customer sites across Germany for executive meetings and workshops.
