AR Associate Consultant - Hybrid - Vernon Hills, IL

Overview

An AR Associate Consultant supports Accounts Receivable services, including rebills and cash application, to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt, while maintaining an optimized process and engaging stakeholders across the company.

What you'll do

• Support collections strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize cash flow, minimize bad debt, and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
• Apply cash and rebills in a timely manner, including Customer and/or Partner Cases.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, including internal and SOX controls.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes and tools/systems to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Suggest and implement improvements to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
• Engage in clear and professional communication with customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure the right stakeholders are included in relevant discussions and decisions.
• Share insights into improvement opportunities and root cause mitigation with upstream and downstream teams.
• Proactively find ways to reduce reactive tasks, focusing on preventative and detection opportunities.
• Adhere to internal controls and maintain a high level of data accuracy and integrity.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve the overall performance of the AR Services team.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related finance field, OR 4 years of AR experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting B2B finance operations, including but not limited to credit card processing, account reconciliations, wire transfers, refunds, and cash application.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Thorough knowledge of accounts receivable principles, practices, and regulations, including billing, collections, cash application, and credit management.
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Enterprise ERP Systems experience.

Details

• Pay range: $52,000 - $72,000 depending on experience and skill set.
• Salary ranges may be subject to geographic differentials.
• Annual bonus target of 10%, subject to terms and conditions of plan.
