Architect/Delivery Lead- Senior Manager

Overview

Lead client support and delivery for data engineering solutions within the Data and Analytics Engineering practice at the Acceleration Center India, guiding multidisciplinary teams through cloud-based data modernisation programmes.

What you'll do

• Lead data engineering architecture and delivery workstreams across cloud-based modernization initiatives
• Translate client goals into scalable data platform designs, delivery plans, and technical roadmaps
• Guide teams in building, integrating, and tuning data pipelines, data lakes, and warehouse solutions
• Apply Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, and Hadoop to support modern data environments
• Drive data modeling, transformation, validation, and quality practices across complex implementations
• Advise clients on data architecture, platform selection, security controls, and performance optimization
• Coordinate delivery across technical teams, client stakeholders, and business leaders to address risks and dependencies
• Coach delivery teams through ambiguity, prioritization changes, and complex technical problem solving
• Develop repeatable methods for Agile scalability, rapid experimentation, and data modernization execution
• Validate solution designs and implementation outcomes against business objectives, technical requirements, and delivery timelines

What you'll need

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 12+ years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English
• Proficient with Azure cloud computing, including big data technologies
• Deep understanding of traditional and modern data architecture and processing concepts, including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), data warehousing, big data, NoSQL and business analytics
• Rich experience working in Azure ADLS, Data Bricks, Data Flows, HDInsight, Azure Analysis services
• Experience building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming
• Understanding of big data use-cases and Lambda/Kappa design patterns
• Knowledge of real time/stream analytics trends
• Architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of complex application architectures (i.e. having an architectural sense for connecting data sources, data visualization, structured and unstructured data, etc.)
• Demonstrable hands-on experience implementing Big Data solutions using Microsoft Data Platform and Azure Data Services: Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure HD Insight, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Machine Learning, Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure CosmosDB and Power BI
• Exposure to open-source technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL, Kafka, Solr/Elastic Search

• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics
• Demonstrating data modernization delivery across complex client environments
• Applying data architecture, modeling, and pipeline design skills
• Leveraging AWS, Azure, or Databricks platform experience
• Translating technical findings into clear client messages
• Coaching teams through ambiguity and project complexity
