Databricks+SAP+Oil&Gas - Senior Manager

Overview

Lead client-facing data engineering work focused on designing and developing data pipelines, data integration, and data transformation solutions within the Data and Analytics Engineering practice, with a focus on Databricks and SAP data modernization for oil and gas clients.

What you'll do

• Lead Databricks and SAP data modernization workstreams for oil and gas clients, translating business needs into data engineering plans
• Design and build data pipelines, integration flows, and transformation logic across cloud data platforms
• Direct data architecture decisions for data lake and data warehouse environments, including modeling, validation, and performance tuning
• Coordinate delivery across teams to resolve complex data issues and keep implementation activities aligned with project goals
• Apply Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, and related orchestration tools to automate data movement and scheduling
• Leverage Microsoft Azure Databricks and Snowflake to develop scalable analytics-ready data solutions
• Review data quality, security controls, and database administration activities to support stable production environments
• Advise clients on data modernization strategies, technical tradeoffs, and migration approaches for legacy SAP and enterprise data platforms
• Coach team members through technical problem solving, issue resolution, and delivery planning in ambiguous situations
• Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and business stakeholders

What you'll need

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 13+ years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English

• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics
• Demonstrating Databricks and SAP data modernization delivery across oil and gas
• Leading complex data engineering programs for client-facing transformation efforts
• Applying systems thinking to uncover data architecture and pipeline opportunities
• Crafting clear messages that connect technical details to business outcomes
• Coaching diverse teams through ambiguity, change, and competing priorities
