Overview
Architect on Guidewire's ANZ InsuranceSuite practice, owning the design and delivery of one workstream (Functional or Integration) on a customer program, while mentoring consultants and developers on the track.
What you'll do
- Design and estimate solutions for medium-complexity product gaps and enhancements, and explain trade-offs clearly.
- Take full responsibility for defining, planning and delivering your track, from backlog shape and quality reviews to delivering on commitments.
- Write production-quality configuration and code in Gosu and Java on Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Lead code and design reviews so your track meets Guidewire Cloud standards.
- Anticipate risks and issues, bringing facts, analysis and options to the customer and project team.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools in design, configuration, integration and testing, and help the team adopt patterns that work.
- Mentor junior consultants and customer or partner developers on Guidewire functionality, best practice and delivery methodology.
- Communicate clearly with project managers, product owners and customer architects, adjusting the message for the audience.
- Share learning through reusable assets, knowledge articles and internal sessions.
- Functional track: configure PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter or BillingCenter across the insurance lifecycle (product model, rules, workflows and UI) using Advanced Product Designer and product-definition patterns, and work with business analysts and product owners to turn user stories into configuration.
- Integration track: design and build integrations using Cloud API, Integration Gateway, App Events and messaging to connect InsuranceSuite to customer systems and third parties such as payments, documents, rating, data and identity.
- Integration track: own integration contracts, error handling and non-functional behaviour (performance, resilience, security) for your track.
What you'll need

- At least 3 years hands-on with Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter or BillingCenter).

- Guidewire ACE certification in at least one InsuranceSuite product, or the ability to get one within six months of joining.
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
