Senior Engineering Manager, Cashalo

Overview

Lead the engineering function for Cashalo, Tilt Finance’s Philippines business, while advising the Cashalo General Manager. Oversee an established backend and mobile team and resolve complex, cross-market business problems.

What you'll do

• Serve as the functional engineering leader for Cashalo.
• Partner with the local General Manager on day-to-day priorities.
• Lead an 11–12 person backend and mobile engineering team.
• Own ambiguous, multi-stakeholder problems through resolution.
• Run and interpret concurrent, interdependent experiments.
• Adapt engineering and product patterns from other markets to regional needs.
• Travel to the Philippines approximately once per quarter.

What you'll need

• Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
• A product-first approach to working with existing technology.
• Ability to identify root causes, align stakeholders and drive solutions.
• Experience working in startup or scrappy environments.
• Experience using AI, agents or AI-assisted workflows in daily work.
• Ability to hold robust technical discussions with Staff+ Engineers.

Details

• Remote role based in Australia, Singapore or the Philippines.
• Requires travel 4–6 times per year.
