Digital Architect

Overview

Lead the design and development of web and mobile digital solutions for insurance clients as a Digital Architect in Guidewire's Digital Practice.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of web and mobile solutions using JavaScript, React, and Guidewire's Jutro design system.
• Collaborate with UX designers and cross-functional teams to deliver single-page applications and digital services.
• Apply expertise in CSS, SASS, automated unit testing (Jest/Enzyme), and server-side technologies (JSON/RPC, REST).
• Mentor and guide development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Support migration projects from AngularJS to React.
• Leverage UX prototyping tools (Invision, Sketch) as needed.
• Travel for onsite client engagements as required.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software development experience with web technologies.
• 4-5+ years of React experience.
• Proven leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience or willingness to learn Guidewire's Jutro design system.
• Able to demonstrate experience with building web/mobile services and single-page applications.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills and experience interacting with team members and project sponsors.
• Highly motivated, result-driven, and tenacious problem solver.
• Fluent in Japanese.
• Strong English skills.

• Insurance industry experience.
• Additional languages.
• Exposure to Figma, Invision, Sketch, or other UX prototyping tools.
