Architect / Lead Designer / BIM Engineer

Overview

Support landscape design and BIM/CAD production activities within the Landscape Team, working to CAD/BIM standards including GDF and ISO 19650 across multi-disciplinary, multi-regional projects.

What you'll do

• Comply with relevant CAD/BIM standards including GDF and ISO 19650 on multi-disciplinary and multi-regional projects.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Produce drawings and 3D models using engineers' calculations and design.
• Prepare complex drawings and models.
• Work independently, take proactive initiative and learn on the job with minimum supervision.
• Check the work of others within limited areas of work.
• Apply tools, element libraries and other digital applications to improve efficiency.
• Apply standard codes and EDMS (Electronic Data Management System) procedures.
• Follow BMS/QSE procedures.
• Produce effort (time) estimates for specific BIM-related tasks within own discipline under guidance.

What you'll need

• B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) graduate or Diploma in Architecture candidate.
• Up to 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in the BIM domain, or duly qualified with exceptional work experience track record.
• Good command of oral and technical writing skills.
• Ability to listen, understand and follow instructions, while starting to take on individual responsibilities.
• Ability to issue clear and precise instructions to less experienced team members.
• Willingness to seek advice from senior engineers and to help less experienced colleagues.
• Responsible for completing assigned tasks to time and cost.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and execute tasks with professional time keeping.
• Maintain enthusiasm and commitment to deliver results in the face of difficulties.
• Service-oriented mindset, establishing and maintaining effective relationships across businesses.
• Assess the value of information and data, considering the source, before applying it to a decision.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit and/or Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of landscape-related BIM workflows, drawings and modelling.
