ASIC Engineer

Overview

Define, design and verify ASIC and ASIC subsystems for deployment across a range of Cisco platforms, working in a multi-disciplined engineering team to meet power, performance and area goals.

What you'll do

• Develop high-performance designs and ASICs from specification to tape-out.
• Drive the definition, architecture and design of high-performance ASICs.
• Own complex or multiple functional areas.
• Develop reusable code for future projects.
• Debug at ASIC, software and hardware level.
• Lead design work by solving block-level issues and participate in chip-level issue resolution.
• Design, document and develop ASIC subsystems for release in high volume and quality.
• Help define the process, methods and tools for design and implementation of complex developments.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of related experience, or Master's degree with related experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in networking technologies.
• Proven experience in meeting and delivering project milestones.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to audiences, spanning executives to junior engineers.
• Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting and debugging.
• Experience with Emulation and Formal Verification tools.
