Assistant Manager – Financial Analyst

Overview

Support financial accounting, management reporting and FP&A activities for Inizio Ignite | Putnam, with analytical work and accurate MIS and financial insights for business stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Manage and support accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and timely closure.
• Prepare and analyse monthly MIS reports, financial statements and management reports.
• Support FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Analyse actual performance against budgets and forecasts and highlight key trends and variances.
• Prepare financial dashboards, management presentations and ad-hoc business analysis.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Partner with business and finance stakeholders to provide relevant financial insights for decision-making.
• Support internal and external audit requirements and ensure appropriate documentation.
• Assist in improving reporting processes, controls and overall finance efficiency.
• Support tax-related activities and compliance, where required.

What you'll need

• 5–7 years of relevant experience across accounting, MIS reporting and FP&A.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage timelines independently.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Knowledge or experience in direct/indirect taxation.
• CA Inter/CMA Inter/MBA Finance or other relevant professional qualification.
