Assistant manager - Property management

Overview

Assistant Manager in Property Management (Work Dynamics) responsible for coordinating and leading facilities management delivery, compliance, inspections, performance, and landlord/tenant coordination for a property portfolio.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and support delivery of landlord facilities management services in critical and general building environments.
• Conduct site reviews and identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Optimize processes, tools, and documentation, including completion and compliance audit processes.
• Maintain planned preventive maintenance programs and oversee service contracts and contractor work practices.
• Lead operational management of on-site FM services, ensuring service quality and adherence to H&S standards.
• Manage lease administration support and act as a point of contact for tenant service requests.
• Oversee performance indicators, reporting dashboards, governance/compliance tracking, and risk management frameworks.

What you'll need

• 5 years post-qualification experience managing engineering functions in property and facility management (or 7 years with a Diploma).
• Substantial experience managing a corporate property portfolio.
• Strong Excel skills and dashboard/program management to track activities and support FM teams.
• Analytical skills for tracking and sound judgement.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of statutory standards and requirements for safe management of public buildings.
• Understanding of contract standing orders, relevant legislation, and best practices for managing and operating buildings.
