Associate Analyst - Cyber Defence Center

Overview

The Associate Analyst - Cyber Defence Center supports a global 24x7 Cybersecurity Operations Center with intrusion monitoring, event and incident response, security investigations, threat intelligence analysis, and security posture activities.

What you'll do

• Perform real-time security alert monitoring, initial triage, investigation, and ticket management.
• Escalate actionable incidents and provide support to Incident Response activities as required.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and perform data visualization, Power Query, and basic data transformation.
• Work with Excel, CSV, SQL, and other structured datasets to convert SOC/security data into interactive dashboards and reports.
• Analyze and correlate security events, logs, alerts, vulnerabilities, and threat indicators.
• Follow established SOC processes, playbooks, SLAs, and escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate investigation and ticket documentation.
• Manage and oversee systems to protect data from unauthorized access.
• Create and implement policies and procedures for identifying, recording, and addressing security violations.
• Evaluate security systems and applications and suggest enhancements.
• Gather metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and perform other security-related tasks.

What you'll need

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of work experience in cybersecurity or IT administration roles.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development, data visualization, Power Query, and basic data transformation.
• Ability to work with Excel, CSV, SQL, and other structured datasets.
• Basic knowledge of common cyber threats, including malware, phishing, credential attacks, vulnerabilities, and common attack techniques.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to contribute to the development and delivery of documents such as incident reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global teams across different time zones.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
