Associate – Automation Engineer with AI, Advisory

Overview

Associate role in PwC's software and product innovation team, focused on quality engineering: implementing leading practice standards of quality in software development and testing processes, identifying and resolving defects, optimising performance, and enhancing user experience.

What you'll do

• Implement leading practice standards of quality in software development and testing processes.
• Identify and resolve defects, optimise performance, and enhance user experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch or improve existing ones.
• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and microservices.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated code deployment.
• Integrate applications with Azure services (Key Vault, Service Bus, Functions, Logic Apps, Blob Storage).
• Participate in cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth transition to Azure.
• Develop and build operational data hubs and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with architects and onshore leads to build technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and performance issues.
• Ensure security best practices in application development and deployment.
• Document technical designs, processes, and operational procedures.

What you'll need

• Proficient in Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript/Python.
• Practical implementation of AI in STLC.
• Experience in validating non-deterministic response validation / AI model testing.
• Strong programming skills.
• Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle, types of testing (functional, regression, integration), and Agile methodology.
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Kafka/Azure Event Hub for event streaming.
• Knowledge of REST/Graph API design and implementation.
• Python scripting for automation tasks.
• Experience with Azure Container Instances (ACI).
• Familiarity with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Experience with Cosmos DB or Azure SQL Database.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure cloud services.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Degrees/Field of Study required: Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering, MBA (Master of Business Administration).
• Required skill: Java (Programming Language).
• Years of experience required: 5+ years (7+ years preferred for Senior roles).
