Associate Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting

Overview

Associate Financial Analyst role in Cost Accounting Solutions, based in Chennai, supporting Flex's finance and operations teams.

What you'll do

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure all postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare Actuals with Forecast / Quote, ensure variances are properly researched, and required adjustment postings are made in the books.
• Collect business reasons for remaining variances and report them appropriately.
• Reconcile all scoped Balance Sheet accounts with sub ledger / manual schedules to identify variances and ensure they are properly dealt with in the books of accounts.
• Review accounts periodically to identify potential risks and ensure they are properly mitigated.
• Ensure all book close and reporting activities are properly planned and executed on time with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for related accounts.
• Work with the Operations team to improve business / operational metrics.

What you'll need

• Typically requires a B.Com / B.C.S / M.Com / MBA / BBA / BBM, or any other commerce and Accounts stream degree.
• Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.
• Good knowledge of Finance and accounting concepts.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• A professional certification such as CPA, CFP, CMA, APICS, CA, or CGA.
