Associate Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting Solutions

Overview

Associate Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting Solutions role in Chennai, supporting profit and loss review, balance sheet reconciliations and book close activities.

What you'll do

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that variances are properly researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books.
• Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify variances and ensure they are properly dealt with in the books of accounts.
• Review accounts on a periodic basis to identify potential risks and ensure they are properly mitigated.
• Ensure that all book close related / reporting activities are properly planned and executed on a timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for related accounts.
• Work along with the Operations team to improve business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

What you'll need

• Typically requires a B.Com / B.C.S / M.Com / MBA / BBA / BBM, or any other commerce and Accounts stream degree.
• Typically requires 1-2 years of related experience.

Nice to have

• A professional certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), APICS, Chartered Accountant (CA), or Certified General Accountant (CGA).
