Associate Legal Counsel

Overview

Provide legal support on general corporate and commercial matters, including contracts and regulatory compliance, while mitigating legal risk in support of business needs.

What you'll do

• Advise on legal issues related to company business practices.
• Review, draft, and help negotiate contracts and agreements.
• Review corporate policies and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with regulatory compliance matters.
• Review and update confidentiality agreements.
• Develop legal training materials.
• Maintain executed agreements and corporate documents.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Juris Doctorate required.
• Active U.S. attorney license and good standing required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, judgment, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Engineering or another technical bachelor’s degree.
• Previous legal experience.
• Spanish or Japanese bilingual ability.
• Experience living in Japan or working with Japanese companies.
• Ability to work at least one day weekly from a listed facility.

Details

• Remote position in the United States.
• Salary: $63,000–$68,000 per year, based on experience.
• Travel: up to 5% annually globally for meetings and conferences.
