Associate – SAP BPC/SAC, Enterprise APP SAP, Advisory

Overview

Associate role in PwC's SAP business application consulting practice, focused on SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC) and business intelligence solutions that support evolutionary business change.

What you'll do

• Specify, design and develop process-enhancing BI solutions using preferred business reporting tools and data warehouses.
• Support established in-house developed BW / BPC solutions.
• Document existing BW / BPC solutions to assist in migration to various reporting platforms.
• Add value to existing business processes and procedures by improving efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work with the business to analyse requirements and design and deliver BW / BPC based solutions.
• Use tools to perform Data Transfer Process, transformations and BEx Query Designer and Analyser.
• Provide support for data migration projects as and when required.
• Understand business data requirements and translate them into solution framework / architecture.
• Manage, plan, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
• Ensure effective communication with business and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate the development of code elements and review.
• Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle: design, development, system testing, UAT support, deployment support and post-production support.
• Review and finalise the project scope and deliverables with the Application Development and Functional Support manager.
• Obtain acceptance for all deliverables from the business.
• Ensure adherence to locally defined standards for all developed BW / BPC solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on the use of tools to perform Data Transfer Process and data profiling.
• Set up the BPC environment, configure models and dimensions, and enable integration of master data and hierarchies with underlying transaction systems.
• Configure transformation and conversion files, data manager packages and package links for extracting and processing data.
• Set up the initial ownership structure and define rate input templates.
• Draft currency translation rules (periodical and YTD), elimination and adjustment rules, US elimination rules, carry-forward rules and account-based calculation rules.
• Write logic scripts and collaborate with ABAP team members on functional aspects for BADIs.
• Design EPM reports and input templates from consolidation and planning needs.
• Perform backup procedures.
• Create queries, info areas, aggregation levels, key figures, characteristics, composite providers, variables, reports and input templates using HANA Studio and BEx Query.

What you'll need

• Mandatory skill: SAP BPC / SAC.
• 7+ years of experience.
• Degree: MBA (Master of Business Administration) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), as listed in the education qualification.
• Extensive hands-on experience specifying, designing and developing process-enhancing business intelligence solutions using SAP BW, SAP BPC and Oracle DB.
• Skills to include using the full features of the Data Transfer Process (DTP), transformations and Data Store Objects (DSO).
• Ability to model and build InfoCubes, InfoObjects, InfoSets and MultiProviders.
• Ability to write reports using BEx Query Designer and Analyser.
• Strong technical problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Preferred skill: SAP BPC / SAC.
