Overview
Senior Atlassian Engineer (IC3) for Wise’s Work Management team, driving technical initiatives that align business needs with Wise’s Atlassian stack across a global setup.
What you'll do
- Drive and execute key technical initiatives across the team roadmap, covering technical debt, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Lead architecture reviews for integrations, documenting system designs and building API integrations.
- Design and build scalable work management workflows and optimize Atlassian integration and dashboard performance.
- Maintain platform integrity to ensure Atlassian configurations and custom integrations meet data privacy and regulatory standards.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to develop strategy and communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive engineering excellence via design documentation, automated testing, and cross-site knowledge sharing.
What you'll need
- Deep experience with the Atlassian tech stack including Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Atlassian Access.
- Hands-on experience delivering technical roadmaps and making integration architecture decisions (APIs, identity/SSO, data model, and vendor integrations).
- Advanced Atlassian administration skills including custom workflows and reporting.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Groovy.
- Experience using REST APIs and modern integration frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Fintech experience in regulated environments with DORA, SOX, and GDPR requirements.
- Experience with major system implementations or migrations such as Atlassian cloud migrations or instance consolidations.
- Experience building custom apps/extensions using Atlassian Forge.
- Proficiency or certification in Agile methodologies.
