Audit Staff - Mumbai

Overview

Audit Associate role working on U.S.-based client engagements, gaining exposure to U.S. accounting and auditing standards across a range of industries.

What you'll do

• Participate in all phases of audit engagements, including planning, risk identification, internal control testing, substantive procedures, engagement wrap-up, and financial statement preparation and review.
• Perform compilations, reviews, and other attest services.
• Research accounting and audit matters in accordance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAAS.
• Identify audit issues, recommend process improvements, and help teams meet client expectations and project deadlines.
• Build relationships with colleagues and client personnel while participating in technical training, networking, and internal initiatives that support your professional growth.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• 1-3 years of public accounting audit experience, including at least one busy season; internship experience is considered.
• Understanding of audit concepts, methodologies, and professional standards, with the ability to analyze and resolve audit-related issues.
• Strong organization, prioritization, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and client-service skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Nice to have

• CA and/or U.S. CPA preferred, with the expectation that the U.S. CPA will be obtained.

Details

• Location: Mumbai - Goregaon.
• Position requires some Saturday work hours during busy season.
• Exempt position that may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.
• Principally in-person working model with flexibility to determine optimal working environment each day with supervisor and team.
