Overview
Build and maintain automation that reduces manual work across enterprise infrastructure and platform services. The role covers operational automation across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and on-premises environments.
What you'll do
- Build automation to provision, configure, and decommission infrastructure.
- Automate patching, certificate renewal, backup verification, log rotation, account administration, and service restarts.
- Develop Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and Terraform configurations.
- Implement event-driven automation and auto-remediation for known failures.
- Write tested automation code in Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Manage automation in Git and document its operation and failure handling.
- Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams to identify automation opportunities.
What you'll need
- Two to four years of professional experience in infrastructure, operations, or automation engineering.
- Scripting ability in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management or automation tooling.
- Working knowledge of Linux or Windows server administration.
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool.
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, AWX, or Event-Driven Ansible.
- Exposure to containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or observability tooling.
- Experience in a validated, GxP, or regulated environment.
- Relevant Ansible, Terraform, AWS, or Azure certifications.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
