Automation Engineer

Overview

Automation Engineer (Member of Technical Staff) on the DEEM engineering team, building automated testing and CI/CD tooling for the Omnissa DEX Agent, working closely with US counterparts.

What you'll need

• Automation experience using Python
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies: unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, performance and interop testing
• Knowledge of test concepts such as test suites, test cases, parameterized testing, mocks and stubs
• Windows/macOS event monitoring
• Static code analysis and code coverage tools such as SonarQube and CodeQL
• Ability to write and maintain test scripts in bash, PowerShell and Python
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering
• Hands-on with test frameworks such as Google Test, NUnit, Python Behave
• Running automated tests in Docker containers and virtual machines
• Incorporating automated testing in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub integrations such as GitHub Actions and GitHub workflows
• Debugging and fixing issues in CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborating with developers to identify test scenarios from feature specifications
• Documenting and creating test cases in TestRail
• Experience with cloud platforms such as VMware vCloud, AWS or Azure
• Git, GitHub Actions, Bazel, shell scripting in bash and PowerShell, YAML, Docker

Nice to have

• Automation experience using C++

Details

• Location: Chennai, India
• Work mode: Hybrid, 3 days a week in the local office with the remaining days from home
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the office for in-office days
• Team based out of Chennai and Bangalore; reports to the Engineering Manager, DEEM
