AVP Property Claims

Overview

The AVP Property Claims will be part of the Claims Advocacy and Insight team, serving as the subject matter expert on Ryan Specialty coverage and managing claims to achieve positive outcomes for assigned clients.

What you'll do

• Communicate with insurance carriers' claims departments to resolve coverage issues.
• Draft coverage rebuttal position letters.
• Review policies and act as a sounding board for broker teams with technical coverage issues.
• Counsel brokers and retail partners on coverage and claims-related issues.
• Mediate claims issues and find acceptable solutions.
• Stay up-to-date on claims and coverage related developments.
• Advise on policy wording solutions for recurring coverage issues.
• Develop relationships with carriers and brokers to be a credible resource and spokesperson on coverage and claims-related issues.
• Additional duties as assigned.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 8+ years of Commercial Property claims experience.
• Previous insurance carrier experience with high dollar/severe property claims.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Ability to develop, analyze, and implement strategies with a proactive long-term view of business goals and objectives.
• Skills: Insurance Industry Knowledge, Commercial Property Insurance Claims, Insurance Regulations, Claims Management; behavioral skills in problem solving, communication, time management, attention to detail, and relationship building.

Nice to have

• Experience in Inland Marine and Ocean Marine claims.
• Claims Adjuster License.

Details

• Location: Remote, United States.
• Full-time role eligible for bonuses and benefits.
• Target salary range: $112,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually.
