AWS Solution Architect

Overview

Senior Solution Architect to define end-to-end solution designs for IT change programmes across Capco's banking, financial and energy clients, with a focus on digital, cloud and agile delivery.

What you'll do

• Craft solutions and designs for projects that meet client standards for technology, ensuring availability, security, resilience and performance.
• Build end-to-end designs that are fit for purpose from a functional, non-functional, service and security point of view.
• Deliver solutions that move the overall architecture forward in line with the client's IT strategy.
• Drive improvement in design quality.
• Provide technical direction and support to business and technology stakeholders in delivering change.
• Coach, mentor and train less experienced Solution Architects as required.
• Provide leadership on key designs to meet the long-term strategic goals of client IT as well as short-term project needs.
• Perform early triage and shaping of IT initiatives to support investment decisions and initial delivery planning.
• Ensure design artefacts are produced to support service, security, architecture and engineering.
• Supervise the integrity of end-to-end solutions, including transition states used to achieve the target state.

What you'll need

• Engineering graduate, or graduate with relevant experience.
• 15+ years of experience.
• Deep technical experience, either broad across a variety of customer and business scenarios or with strong domain specialisms.
• Excellent design and architecture skills.
• Financial acumen to support development of business cases and inform key design decisions.
• A track record of strong business partner and relationship management at all levels.
• A technical leader able to support, develop and lead others.
• Experience of agile delivery methods.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end project lifecycle methodologies (mainly agile).
• Ability to balance long-term direction and necessary short-term goals.
• Good communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to peers and project colleagues.
• Strong personal impact and influence.
• Good stakeholder and relationship management.
• Leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in cloud technologies, especially Amazon Web Services.
• Experience in Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Optimiser and Adobe Experience Platform.
