Back End Developer (Python Scripting,RDBMS ,Linux,SQL,ETL ) - Pune

Overview

Backend Software Engineer working on backend systems supporting FIS products including Tax Information Reporting Suite (TIRS) and Core Services.

What you'll do

• Participate in release planning and sprint planning with stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and enhance backend components and services.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Debug production and non-production issues and deliver timely fixes.
• Understand, enhance, and develop SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Communicate progress, risks, and challenges with the team.

What you'll need

• 3-6 years of hands-on backend development using Python and/or Perl scripting.
• Strong experience with relational databases and advanced SQL.
• Ability to debug and optimize complex stored procedures and SQL logic.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Working knowledge of design patterns and clean code practices.
• Solid experience with Git, SVN, or similar version control systems.
