Overview
Drive end-to-end BIOS/firmware design, implementation, integration, debug, and delivery for a chiplet-based SoC platform within Intel's Client Computing and Physical AI Group (CCPG), Software and AI group.
What you'll do
- Drive end-to-end BIOS/firmware design, implementation, integration, debug, and delivery for a chiplet-based platform involving new internal IP and third-party IP.
- Work closely with hardware, architecture, platform, validation, security, and program teams to define requirements, resolve issues and drive the implementation.
- Design and implement scalable, modular, and maintainable firmware/BIOS solutions across IP, SoC, and platform layers, ensuring correctness, extensibility, and robust system behavior.
- Design, implement, and debug embedded firmware/BIOS in constrained environments using C, C++, and Python across pre-silicon and post-silicon phases, including RTL simulation, emulation, silicon bring-up, and platform validation.
- Drive enablement of new silicon capabilities, platform features, and third-party components within the BIOS/firmware stack.
- Establish strong engineering discipline through design reviews, code reviews, debug methodologies, continuous integration, automation, and issue tracking.
- Collaborate on HW/FW co-design and co-validation flows, including test infrastructure, automation frameworks, and debug tools.
- Maintain source code using professional systems like GitHub, ensuring seamless software development integration.
- Work on various firmware interfaces, including PCIe, UART, I2C, SPI, USB, TCSS, SATA, UFS, eMMC, and others, for enhanced system functionality.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering productivity through modern development practices and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
