Buyer I

Overview

Buyer I is a routine purchasing role responsible for procuring materials, supplies, machinery, and services while supporting inventory, delivery, supplier negotiations, and documentation.

What you'll do

• Support negotiation of pricing, delivery, and purchasing terms under supervision.
• Manage non-strategic suppliers and procure items below defined spend thresholds.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate proposals, negotiate pricing and delivery timelines, and process purchase orders.
• Expedite deliveries to ensure timely material availability.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Engineering to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Follow up on orders, verify deliveries, approve invoices, and maintain accurate procurement documentation.
• Review MRP outputs and execute planning actions (pull-ins, push-outs, cancellations) based on priority.

What you'll need

• 0–2 years of procurement or supply chain experience.
• Foundational understanding of procurement principles, processes, and systems.
• Comfort with SAP, Ariba, MS Office, Tableau, and RPA (as listed).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electronics Engineering.
