Overview
Sourcing Specialist – Tapes & Films (individual contributor) supporting sourcing and supplier management activities for 3M businesses and divisions from the India GCC.
What you'll do
- Oversee procurement and supplier management for the Tapes & Films category, including supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
- Drive sourcing strategies to reduce total cost, improve working capital, strengthen supplier performance, and support business growth via fact-based decisions and should-cost analysis.
- Support dual sourcing, risk reduction, supply continuity, and evaluation of sourcing opportunities for materials and plastic film production needs.
- Use sourcing data/metrics and SAP experience for spend, supplier, market, and cost assessments.
- Lead and support supplier contract negotiations with 3M stakeholders and 3M Legal to align agreements with sourcing strategies, risk mitigation, timelines, and pricing mechanisms.
- Execute productivity initiatives, issue resolution, savings tracking, and timely sourcing project delivery with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
What you'll need
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher.
- Minimum 5 years of combined experience in sourcing, procurement, project management, supply chain, or related business functions.
- Strong procurement experience, preferably involving outsource manufacturing suppliers.
- Experience with plastic film production processes.
- SAP/procurement systems experience.
- Spend analysis and savings tracking experience.
- Supplier performance reporting experience.
