Engineer-Mechanical Design

Overview

Engineer-Mechanical Design will drive cost-out, resiliency, and sourcing optimization initiatives across the global Non-Ferrous Metals portfolio.

What you'll do

• Identify, prioritize, and execute cost-out projects across the NFM portfolio.
• Build savings pipelines using resourcing, negotiations, should-cost analysis, and VAVE.
• Support supplier benchmarking and commercial competitiveness assessments.
• Lead dual sourcing and alternate supplier qualification activities.
• Drive SPIR mitigation and supply continuity projects.
• Analyze spend concentration, supplier dependency, and sourcing opportunities.
• Facilitate VAVE workshops with suppliers and manufacturing plants.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in cost reduction/cost engineering, commodity management, or related areas.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in supply chain engineering.
• Experience with value analysis/value engineering (VAVE).
• Experience in strategic sourcing.
