Engineer- Supply Chain

Overview

Engineer- Supply Chain (Specialist - Supply Chain Solution) supporting supply chain, sourcing, pricing, and component cost/value initiatives for customers and suppliers.

What you'll do

• Drive sourcing and pricing strategies for materials quotations.
• Present materials value-add to customers/suppliers and influence preferred supplier usage.
• Interface with customers/suppliers during new project start-ups for cost of ownership issues.
• Develop and guide flexibility and supply assurance plan implementation.
• Manage component cost/price and track materials financial performance with corrective actions.
• Coordinate cost, sourcing, and pricing strategies with Supply Management and customers.
• Lead sourcing-related actions such as cost take-down strategies and vendor-managed inventory improvements.

What you'll need

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain management/design.
• Must understand cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends, and technologies.
• Background in electronics manufacturing.
• Thorough understanding of OEM product development process.
• Ability to use office tools including spreadsheets, presentation packages, and database systems.
