Overview

Tech lead role in CARIAD's India business unit in Whitefield, Bangalore, developing C++ platform components for automotive software, with a focus on functional safety.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in C++ (11, 14, 17, 20)
• Good hands-on experience with multithreading, design patterns and OOP concepts
• TCP/IP configuration (ifconfig, route, bridge, tap, VLAN, etc.)
• Experience developing safety-oriented embedded C++ applications, including safe multithreading, memory management, watchdog handling, fault detection and fail-safe mechanisms
• Designing, developing and maintaining software, including command line tools such as compilers, utilities and libraries
• Good understanding of the ISO 26262 functional safety lifecycle, HAZOP, HARA, ASIL classification, safety goals and safety requirement analysis for automotive software systems
• Good leadership, communication and presentation skills
• Capable of working independently on a given task
• Ability to work in and contribute to an Agile team environment
• Demonstrates significant knowledge of technical problem resolution of issues
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and delivery excellence

Nice to have

• Communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, ETH and SOME/IP)
• Hands-on experience in POSIX filesystem
• Knowledge of Automotive/Adaptive AUTOSAR/QNX/Automotive
• Experience with any communication middleware (DDS, SOME/IP, ARA:COM, MQTT, gRPC, etc.)
